THE BRUCE McLAREN STORY

A MAVERICK BLUEPRINT

EPISODE 1: THE IMPOSSIBLE START

In his early years, Bruce was confined to a hospital bed with Perthes disease. Far from limiting his ambition, it gave him the time to dream, think and study.

He learned to watch closely. To understand how things worked. To inspire people with the same culture of generosity and service that made the family Service Station he grew up in a community hub.

Where others saw obstacles, Bruce found something to work with.

“Life is measured in achievements, not years alone.”

Bruce McLaren

BRUCE McLAREN'S LIFE WAS EXTRAORDINARY.

From growing up above his family’s Service Station in Auckland to overcoming a childhood illness, he developed a relentless mindset. He became the youngest Formula 1 Grand Prix winner of his time, proving progress comes from stepping up. More than a driver, he built a racing team grounded in collaboration and shared pursuit.

Bruce died aged 32, but his impact endures - measured not in years, but in what he built and set in motion for McLaren today.
