Are McLaren fleet vehicles available to rent for the day?

The McLaren owner track days are intended for you to use your own McLaren vehicle on track.  At times, we may have McLaren fleet vehicles available for test drives, however, fleet vehicles are not available for rent.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes, all drivers must be at least 25 years of age with a valid driver's license.  Some circuits may have age restrictions on pit lane access – any restrictions will be clearly defined ahead of the program.

Who are the instructors attending?

The drive team is comprised of McLaren factory-trained instructors with a competitive racing background and will provide coaching to help improve your performance on the track.

What clothing and equipment is required?

For safety reasons, all drivers must wear a helmet, full-length clothing, and suitable footwear (no open toe footwear or heels will be permitted).  Helmets will be provided onsite and will include radios to communicate with drive instructors.

Is it possible to refuel at the circuit?

To ensure guests make the most of their experience, fuel is accessible at the circuit throughout the day.

Will tires be available for purchase at the circuit?

Tires are not available for purchase; however, we encourage you to discuss appropriate track running tires with your dealer and pre-order a spare set to bring with you.  We will have a team of technicians onsite who are able to fit new tires and assist with light maintenance as well as monitor tire pressure & fluid levels throughout the day.

Is track insurance necessary to participate?

Participation with your own vehicle is at your own risk. As outlined in the Indemnity Form signed by all guests on arrival, McLaren Automotive will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of property (personal or otherwise).

Can a guest (i.e. “plus one”) also drive my vehicle?

Yes, as long as the guest has signed waivers, presented a valid driver's license, is at least 25 years of age, and has appropriate clothing/helmet.

Are guests (“plus ones”) allowed in the passenger seat with an owner?

For legal liability reasons, owners on circuit will not be permitted to have a guest in the passenger seat.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

Events will happen rain or shine, however; the track does have the right to halt the event due to weather concerns.
